Welcome to my learning resource developed for Year 3 Humanities and Social Sciences (HaSS) for the unit EDSS290. My name is Sarah Tannous and my tutors name is Victoria Harris. This website explores my visit to Calmsley Hill City Farm and how it can be used as an effective community resource for geographical inquiry and learning. This resource benefits teachers and will provide classroom learning experiences, links to the curriculum and additional resources. Students will have the opportunity to investigate how people interact, use and care for places within our community, particularly Calmsley Hill City Farm, through observing, questioning and discussion. This website outlines how an excursion can be beneficial to learning in the classroom and can be continued in their learning, that will encourage students to be curious, think critically and be open to new ideas.
