This digital learning resource has been designed for primary teachers to support the teaching of Year 3 Humanities and Social Sciences through an authentic community resource.. Its purpose is to understand how individuals interact with, use and care for the environment with Calmsley Hill City Farm being a community resource. Students will further enhance their geographical inquiry skills through observing the farm, asking questions, and collecting their findings. This learning experience will allow students to connect geographical concepts to the real world environment and encourage students to care for the environment in their everyday lives. The resource also develops the General Capabilities of Critical and Creative Thinking, Literacy and Personal and Social Capability, while incorporating the Cross Curriculum Priority of Sustainability.
